Evelyn Mackin Triennial Award

In 2010, this award was established to honor Evelyn Mackin, the first president of IFSHT and a leader in the development of hand therapy worldwide.  The award supports one or more therapists to attend the next IFSHT Triennial Congress from a country where hand therapy is developing and does not currently hold membership in IFSHT.  The recipient is someone who is a potential leader of hand therapy in their country who may otherwise not have the resources to attend.  Recipients of the EVELYN MACKIN TRIENNIAL AWARD must be recommended by a therapist from a member country of IFSHT.  Nominations forms may be obtained from the IFSHT Secretary General (secretarygeneral@ifsht.org) and must be submitted to the Secretary General no later than 6 months prior to the Triennial Congress.

Funding for this award is through donated funds to IFSHT and all funds received will be used to sponsor one or more therapists (depending on total funds received) to attend the next triennial congress.  All donations to this award will be fully acknowledged at the triennial congress and also acknowledged on the website (unless specifically requested as an anonymous donation).

If you wish to donate to this award using a bank check or wire transfer please contact the IFSHT Treasurer (treasurer@ifsht.org) for further details.  A PayPal donation option is also available.
